Since I have Physical Therapy once a week

I stopped by and looked at a farm and seed store

and look what they had,

I have broccoli, peppers, tomatoes sprouting up

 

look at the local Wal-Mart got in

Fruit trees, and some other shrubs

I so need a pear tree

 

first dandelion of the year

signs of Spring...

 

hello Sunshine....

its what I think these daffodil's are saying..

 

I have tomatoes, peppers, broccoli sprouting up planted in the house right now

I have my green onion sets, have the purple potatoes( new this year) and some purple asparagus( also new), I am ready to plant....need to clean out the beds of weeds though

and figure out where I am going to plant the asparagus

a experiment

I have read that you can grow your own celery from the stalk end of the celery that you purchase at the store

so, I am gonna try and grow celery

 

this is the first day....

starting plants...

I am thinking spring......

                                                I went and done it, I have started some plants.
                      I First placed them in a plastic baggie in a paper towel, then put a little moisture( water ) on the paper towel. then put on top of the frig( warm place)...then last week I checked them and a few of them was rotting so.....I planted a few of them last week....this is the pic I took of them first when I planted them.....

I placed them in fish aquariums with aluminum foil on the sides...then the one in the house where I put the tomato starts. I placed the aquarium lid and turned on the light...
the one on the back porch( no heat back there) I placed my one grow light in the aquarium. The ones in the house have sprouted up...the one on the back porch nothing yet....of course we have had below freezing temps at night.....with no heat back there that is probably why nothing is sprouting up as of yet....I placed broccoli back there,...it is a cold crop...I might have to start them over again.


I looked at the seeds again today....I have seeds rooted , I really don't want to plant them and put them in the place on the back porch ( no heat)...The one in the house is full of tomatoes...and no more room for anything else.....
I am wanting to put them outside but this weekend is suppose to be cold...I might place a heat lamp in the one on the back porch....I think that is what I did last year.....

so we shall see.....

Is Spring near?

 

Today is Groundhogs day, where us as Americans rely on a rodent to forecast whether or not we will have 6 more weeks of winter...

I say we will have 6 more weeks of winter .....

We really haven't had too much of winter here in the Ozarks

The above pic is crocus sprouting up out the cold( but not that cold ) ground

We have had a heat wave here the last few days

 

 

 

a few of my daffodils have blooms that are ready to spring up and show the bright yellow sunshiny

a look at the tulips, all of my tulips have started sprouting up

 

Some of my daylilies are turning to green

A friend of mine even has her hostas sprouting up, mine have not showed any green as of yet...

 

I am ready for Spring...

So, Maybe this is a sign that spring is not so far away.

I checked on my seeds that I started and I have a few broccoli starting to root

I might be off of here for awhile
