Angel garden..
I have decided to have an Angel Garden,. Yes I am expanding the garden....
Have not really plant anything in it as of yet....
Here is where the angel garden will be.....
Will be able to see as you walk along the blackberry row here
this leads to Blackberry fields
Then if you are walking from blackberry fields the other direction you will walk into the Angel garden....I don't know what I want to put along the path as of yet, except a row of blackberry briers on the right side....I know their is a Apple tree planted about the middle of the left side....
Maybe it should be called the Christmas Garden, since I have put Santa in it as well....
A look into the angel Garden today..
I am also working on eliminating this honeysuckle vine, it has token over the fence , the field in which the miniature horse roams...
I may have planted a few years ago, but I really don't remember if I did or not...if I did I wished I hadn't done it...yes, I am old at least some days I do feel old....
Have not really plant anything in it as of yet....

I thought why not put my nativity scene in the angel garden and have it there year round...I think this should be the focal point to this garden...What do you think?.....
Maybe it should be called the Christmas Garden, since I have put Santa in it as well....
Making something for that angel garden as well.....
it is made out of this
This is what the craft idea looks like now...still not done..
need to figure out how to fasten it to one of the lattice strips
A look into the angel Garden today..
I had to put up about 3 landscape timbers , since the garden is on a slope..
Have made two of these, a round of chicken wire, since there is a lot of rock in this area of the yard...I have other areas of my gardens with these in them to help build up areas...
I need to clean up this area as well for the angel garden...these are wild blackberry briers that have token over, besides some poison ivy growing up the one of the walls...I hope it is dry enough for me to do something with, as I am allergic to it..
I am thinking about making another sign for this side of the angel garden...either painting a boulder or finding a big rock and putting up against the building...
I am also working on eliminating this honeysuckle vine, it has token over the fence , the field in which the miniature horse roams...

Here is a pile of the honey suckle that I have cut from the above picture...this is growing along the fence and starting to grow up to the transformer in which brings electricity to our house...so it must be gone to prevent any damage to the transformer, yes , it is pretty and smells divine but it has token over and must go...
ENJOY !

What to do....
What to do on a winter type day.?.....
Remember these...
Yes , those were Rose of Sharon seeds...I have just counted from the ones I gather from the ones by the house in which are pink and purple ones....yes their is still some on the shrubs that I didn't gather....Can anyone guess how many of them I have counted out.? Their is a total of 6 of these I gather these seeds from.....Now I just need to count those from the purple Rose of Sharon shrub ( its in the garden and is the only one there, so they should be purple/Blue) and the other Rose of Sharon's that are planted out back in which have purple and white blooms....I didn't gather any from the another one that has all three colors....I run out of containers to put them in........
Been thinking about planting some of the seeds....but would have to plant them inside....
I know it is early to be planting them inside...but my hands are just itching to get in the dirt again and with it being at freezing or just above I am sure the ground would be hard to dig in....
That is what I did today is count seeds....that is just one thing a person can do that is shall I say plant crazy....the other day I look at different online catalogs of the different flowers, mainly daylilies and irises, but look at a few different kinds as well....well I need to go and check the stove and see how the wood is burning in the stove to keep my family warm on this cold night....
If you would please take a guess on how many Rose of Sharon seeds I had collected from just the pink and purple ones by the house
Enjoy!

doing alittle more gardening....
We may have some cold nights here in the Ozarks....guess what I have been doing?
That`s right gardening....cleaning out areas of the garden and expanding....
yes, I take many breaks during it...
Just a look at some beginning of some new beds...
in front of the blackberry rows.
That`s right gardening....cleaning out areas of the garden and expanding....
yes, I take many breaks during it...
I cleaned out this bed...at least the back of it...
Removed the sunflower stalks
Tomato vines, canna stalks, sunflower stalks...
Ready to be composted in this area of the garden
Even though Frost has hit here a few nights the mums are still putting on a color show
Decided to have part of this area open, so it would be easier to pick the blackberries..
Left me with a lot of pieces of lattice that I took apart....what to do with them....
maybe plant markers?
Just a look at some beginning of some new beds...
in front of the blackberry rows.
My hubby stated he wanted to build a bed that starts off as 8 x 8, then 4 x4 bed then a 2 x 2 bed in the middle......so will be working on laying the newspaper down for this bed and the other beds....
Future Angel garden area...going to try and just plant things that I think would be in an angel garden...
Roses a must....
angel named irises
angel named daylilies
maybe a rose of Sharon or two and lilac's
I know you cant see very well in the picture , but I planted a row of blackberries and irises in between....
enjoy!

Frost has hit....
My poor irises...
My poor Gold Showers
Mums really don't look that bad
The Peace rose
Pinata rose....it looks better in person...
Still frost has gotten to it
my marigolds
I feel like it will be a long time before my garden is back being its beautiful self....Hopefully all of the plants I planted this year will survive the Ozarks winter...I know a few of my succulents didn't make it, at least they don't look like they made...Hopefully they will snap back in the spring...I am fairly new to the succulents, Except for the hens and chicks plants I have...
Still counting my rose of Sharon seeds....
I hope everyone enjoys !
