Day 90, nice again today.....

I cant believe it is the 90th day of my New Year s resolution...of taking a picture every day and posting them as well...so far I think I have been doing good with the posting part, lol.....
So here are some pic taken yesterday afternoon during a walk hubby and me took...I checked our little spot for that elusive mushroom and he took some corn out to feed the animals( wild).

Just a few wildflowers I seen

Thought this was interesting a small cedar growing in a rock

now for the pictures for today, that I took today I should say

I was going to start to trim this lilac bush today, it has a few dead looking limbs
                                                                           But

instead I worked on this area, I so want this area to be cleaned out....I would like to add some raspberries this year as well.

I raked up a big pile of leaves and debris and hubby set it on fire
I will try and rake this in a few days...to clean it up alittle more...

just another look at the wild rose bush I am working on clipping out

my lilac bush , this is the old fashioned purple kind. Last year I dug up a few starts and planted them in my garden area ( Veggie land).

a blue bird

just one of the roses I think I might have to replace....don't think they made it thru the winter

just a scenic view

I hope you all
ENJOY!

Day 89....nice today...two new additions to the garden...

It is super nice today, the sun is shining...So I need to go to town and I picked up me a couple new plants.....

picked me up another blueberry bush Biloxi variety

also picked up azalea Mildred
I thought since the blueberries are acid loving plants, I mize well get me a couple of flower shrubs to plant among them as well...I picked out one that has one bloom on it....

                                                         looking up Blueberry lane

Hubby surprise me with 6 bags of red mulch...
so I after I planted the new blueberry and the azalea I put the red mulch around the base of the plants

just the wee little blueberry, I think this is bluecrop, the frost got it some last night even though I did have it covered, I guess not good enough, but most of it looks great

another area of the red mulch...there is a double pink rose of Sharon start these somewhere...its just alittle thing.

this is where most of the red mulch went to...
I think it looks very nice

I thought this was real cute fountain ...too expensive for me though

just a pic I took this morning when the sun was rising..

I so enjoyed working in the garden this morning...it is suppose to be nice tomorrow as well, so I will be working in the gardens or maybe taking a walk to start looking for that elusive mushroom called the morel....in which are very yummy

Well
I hope you all
ENJOY!

Here are some pictures around the garden, yard this morning....

I was trying to get a pic of the apple buds

Green onions are coming along nicely

thinking about  moving these, they aren't in the row

just one of the strawberry plants

I will be moving these daffodils soon to a garden bed

the cherry tree is budding out

                                                        one of my peonies

just to pretty

soon the sweet smell of lilacs

This wild rose bush is down to the trunk
now I need to dig it out the root

Hubby got out his chain saw and these are now gone

as you can see here

Now to work on the rest of the way, next rose bush, this one is wild as well. Surprising it is still here as the neighbor that owns the field behinds us does spray these wild rose bushes.....

I guess my little break is about over with it

I hope you all
ENJOY!

Yes, it has been a very busy day here.....First off walked around the garden this morning....
Then delivered 15 Rose of Sharon starts, then took some pics of the garden and then got ready for a Easter Egg Hunt....

so here are the pictures taken for the day...

ok this isn't in my garden but a house plant....a poinsettia, I thought I was going to loose it, but it has gotten a new leaf on it.....this was a clearance plant....only paid about .50 for it, it looked bad.

my lilac starts

just some cow heads we have found

some of the blackberry briers are leafed out

The crimson barberry shrub is starting to leaf out

this lilac shrub I planted last year is all leafed out as well

Did I mention that we had sleet/snow/rain this morning....don't know if you can tell in the pictures, but that is snow on the blanket....this blanket is covering up my daylilies I just planted...

I hope you all

Day 86...dreay looking today....

Whew! Day 86 of my New Years Resolution , I did admit sometimes it has been rough figurine out want  to take a pic of ....I really didn't want to take pic of the same thing every day...and some days I really haven't felt like taking pics.....

Now lets talk some gardening.....I live here in the Ozarks and you never know what the weather will be like....old saying ....don't like the weather wait it will change.....well that old saying is very true....Last week we had 70s degree weather....Yesterday and today and tomorrow only in the 40s....last night they was calling for frost....also calling for temps about at freezing for tonight and tomorrow night as well.

So here is what my gardens look like this morning

Blue berry Lane

I know the green onions and lettuce and radishes and broccoli should be ok , but I decided to cover them anyway...

I covered the Strawberries and the daylilies up

more daylilies, these were just planted

the Angel garden was covered as well. When covering plants, you are suppose to remove the cover the next morning, but since it is still cold outside this morning I kept mine covered....will uncover them if the sun does shine today...its suppose to later this afternoon...

Now to the inside starts

Homestead tomatoes

1 cherry tomato, thinking I might need some more of these
just love cherry tomatoes, they never make it to the house though

                                                         Beefsteak tomato
I also have some brandy wine tomatoes planted as well

This is suppose to be a tomato plant as well, but to me is looking like a pepper plant...as of right now
yes, I did read the package right and did label the cup right, but when I was planting one of the radish varieties that I planted...found a bean seed in there, just a couple of them...I don't remember the brand name of the seed packet

California Wonder green pepper

more peppers

my Broccoli starts that haven't made it outside yet....Was thinking about selling these, but I think I have changed my mind and will keep them and plant them somewhere in one of the garden spots....

These are all of my pics for the day....hopefully soon I can move some of these starts outside and my houseplants as well, so I can start some Spring cleaning some inside....I did a little yesterday....even though I didn't feel that good....

                                                I hope you all
                                                       ENJOY~
