                                         1 pint of home-made ketchup

                             Day 7

                                 2 pints of diced tomatoes

plus quart bag of cherry tomatoes

                      Day 8

roasted tomatoes ( them cherry tomatoes), canned 1 pint of these

made great plans

Here it is almost Fall of the year. Looking back my garden and me didn't produce a whole lot for the year...Last Winter while I was planning on what I would plant in my wee garden I had great plans, Then the new year came and I seemed alittle slower about getting things started...I did planted some tomatoes , peppers inside before danger of the first frost, I don't know if I planted them too early or to late, they didn't make it. I had to buy some tomato plants and a few pepper plants ...The tomatoes really didn't produce a whole lot, the ones that did make it...or didn't get eaten by critters.
I did manage to plant some cantaloupe and did harvest about three of them and, they were yummy. But I did want to plant more so I could give away or possibly sell. I did manage to plant some watermelon as well, still waiting on them to be harvested. I also planted pumpkin, not doing good at all, I think I planted it too late...Oh how I wanted to eat fresh watermelon and have a pumpkin from my own garden instead of buying from the store....You know, it is so much nicer to come from your own garden instead of the store or your local farmers market stand...
But looking back on this past year, most of the time I really didn't feel that great to be working in the garden, My back did hurt a lot and still does. The weeds have taken over in some areas  of my garden...I am trying to battle back even with my back hurting and bouts of sickness( diarrhea, yes , I said, and other things )
So now that it is fall weather I have started cleaning up the garden and working on redoing some parts of it. Hopefully I will get the parts done that I am redoing before next Spring. I want to do better in the garden next Spring. I do want to feel better as well.....
Well that is all for now I need to go and do my morning chores....yes I wrote this this morning

Day 262...did to much...

I did to much this morning...i dug up all of my cannas, after cutting a few of them down....

now resting for the rest of the day...or maybe starting figuring out where to put all of the houseplants...i counted the other day and i have 30 of them....i have added a few of them...

Morning glory mass...
the lower part of the angel garden
morning glories are planted on both sides of the lower part..
the plan was for them to grow along the fence in the background
they did to some extent...

the cannas dug up from the flower pots..
not very many

some of the cannas

the original canna bulbs

all of these came
from

this area that the above canna came from

now to the rest of them

cut and dug these..

the bulbs

cut and dug these

not very many of these
yet!

pink peace rose

this area of the garden looks so bare now
without the cannas
all of the area were they was planted looks bare...

so starts the fall clean up
a bare garden once again
except for the occasional bloom of the roses...

fall decorations are started
just need some pumpkins and a big mum

Fall is soon approaching...soon it will be winter
i sure will miss the beauty of my gardens....
I look forward to Spring, hopefully i will be able to plant this spring
my youngest helped me dig these this morning

I hope you all
ENJOY!
