Going to the ER...

Sorry no pics today, but just getting on my soapbox alittle.

Earlier in the week I took girlygirl to the ER after calling the ER and talking to the nurse on call about what was going on with her.And then talking to her doctor`s nurse over the phone. I took her to the ER.....We got there at 3pm....We got registered as being there and I asked how many was in front of her, I was told just three.....Her vitals were checked about a hour later....then lab work was done....was told nothing by mouth( no food or nothing to drink).....So we sat and waited until they called her name to go back and see the doctor....At about 6pm I went up and asked how many was in front of her...I was told 13 people were in front of her....so I went back and sat down and waited some more.....About 7 pm I went back up and asked how many again and was told 2 were in front of her....so I went and sat and waited some more.....So again at 8 pm I went and asked how many ....was told 3 more and I question about this ...and was told more critical patients had come in......I understand that I told them ....I seen about 4-6 people go back  while waiting....a Couple went back where the less critical patients go back....So, I went back at 9 pm and asked again....was told 1 was ahead of her........We finally got back to a room( thankful no a wall room)..at about 9:30pm after arriving at 3 pm...They had change into a gown and then we waited to see the doctor....more tests were done...then we waited some more...We didn't leave the hospital until about midnight...with a prescription for an antibiotic ...even though they really didn't find anything, just thought she had infection somewhere...

My issue....cant something be done to help those that go to the ER( or told to go to the ER) to keep from waiting so long before they are seen by the doctor that is there....
