Brrrrrrr it`s cold outside

its 9 degrees outside when I took these pictures of the garden...to keep up with my New Years resolution....I sure will be glad when their is something green or planting going out there in the garden....instead of just bare beds or almost bare beds....
The above picture is the entrance from the yard into veggie land area of the garden...I have climbing roses on each side, two different one, last year I planted morning glories on  the panel as well....

 

The other long vegetable bed in Veggie land area of the garden...

I planted beans, squash and tomatoes in this bed last year...

 

 

This small bed is in the strawberry fields area of the garden, one of my first veggie beds...I see my shadow...hmm I wonder...oh wait its too early for that...last year I used this bed as sorta a trail on square foot garden...I really wasn't happy with the results, so I think it will go back to just a veggie bed...with rows instead of little squares of veggies...squash and peppers, watermelon was planted here last year...the watermelon didn't produce anything...the squash did good here...the peppers did ok here

 

 

Here is the walkway I made this is coming from strawberry fields into veggie land...since the grill is placed by the tree I thought it need somewhat of a patio feel in front of the grill...so I laid down some feed sacks, then put mulch over them and then went to the local creek and found some flat rocks and put them in place...just love flat rocks and going to the creek

 

This is another one of the strawberry beds...I had in the past planted some canna here, but they didn't do so good....this past year I decided to have this bed strawberry bed...their is some irises planted here as well...on the far end of the bed is planted some daylilies and of course some irises...I planted a mum there as well...this bed gets full sun, so it didn't do that well...the pop bottle has a grape vine planted there....so my hubby wont mow it down...

 

this is in Strawberry fields area of the garden... an old wheel barrel full of hens and chicks plants....the shrub is a purple rose of Sharon

 

This is just one of the beds in the Angel garden, the upper portion....

 

Like I said before it sure would be nice to show something growing in the beds ....

but its winter here...

so I still hope you
