newspaper pots...

well I am sorry for some of the quality of the picture in advance

This blog post will be how to turn plain old newspaper in to

This a pot to plant in
First off , get a sheet of newspaper, you don't want the colored portion of the paper, ( Sale flyers)those would be pretty but I have read you don't want to use those...This will be my first year in doing this....so I will try and post later how I like them..

In order to get the size shown above, take the newspaper and cut in half
then cut in half again

Then take it and fold in half , both ways...

unfold it and take the bottom corners and fold then into the middle, with the open end part on the top

                                                                   like this

Then take one portion of the upper paper and fold it down to meet the other folded paper

then fold that down like so

,    Flip it over, if you want to make one of those paper hats you can fold it like you did on the other side and you got a newspaper pirate hat, lol

Then fold the bottom corners into the middle again

Sorry about the blurriness...both corners are folded into the middle
Its hard to hold the camera and hold the feature pot as well

Then fold the other side like you did earlier

tuck the flap into the two small parts of the fold area

the YouTube video I watched on how to do this didn't show this , they did it a different way
I  put the pot out then folded the bottom differently then they did,

And here is the small pot just for planting ....
note it wont stand up well until it has some dirt in it...

Here are some bigger pots I made for some spider plants.....these are planted and ready for their new home.....

                                                                I hope you all
                                                                     ENJOY !
