So with the weather being cool outside. thought I would work out in the garden....
I was going to work along the fence, but decided not to and to concentrate on the Picnic area...
A look on what I did today, this morning...
Moved the tin...raked
I asked Hubby if he wanted to play with his chainsaw
and now both tree are gone....
so raking, digging...found a few rocks here
this is where the old chicken coop used to be
picked two packages of these yesterday at the local walmart
on clearance...good I went in to town or I wouldn't have any more onions to plant since hubby thought I needed to plant more of them
I got 1 package planted today, I know the row is crooked...
I planted these as well in the back of the row...
Here is how it looks
I planted okra ( never have grown), Asian eggplant ( something new , never grown it any eggplant), Thai Squash ( have never grown Thai squash either)
I thought the back need two flower pots, so I had those two pots and I put some dirt in them and planted two canna bulbs in them...in between I would like to put some kinda of grill ...to cook on, after all this area is called the picnic area...
I also would like to find a table of sorts as well for this area...I want a round one...
I worked on digging up and planting one side of this area today...
Hopefully I will be able to work on the other side tomorrow...
The other package of onions are to planted on the other side...so both sides will have onions and veggies planted...
I also dug up a peach tree start for down in blackberry fields area ..( the older tree produces very small fruit)...I planted the peach tree on the left side of the bigger pot...my thinking that maybe with another variety of peach maybe , just maybe I might get bigger peaches...and from what I understand on fruit trees is that you need at least 2 trees ( male and female tree) to produce any fruit...so we shall see when these trees get bigger...the other peach trees I planted are loosing their leaves, but I tried pulling them up and cant pull them ...so hopefully they will survive
Now for the rest of my pics for the day
still garden related
raspberry getting ready to bloom
I do believe I soon will be having fresh broccoli
These irises were white last year....
don't know why they changed their color
late tulip bloomer
I have some gladiolus I got on clearance that I need to plant as well...
Camo girl has asked for a few to plant in her garden area...
We are getting ready to see girly girl graduate from high school and about ready to close that chapter of her life...in a few weeks and couple of months I will be mom to a college student...seems unreal
I think that is enough to post for today
so
I hope you all
ENJOY!
